JoeGoaUk's Point of View: folk dance

LOKOTSAV 2015
Folk Festival at National level (Folk dances of various states of India).
9th Jan. to 18th Jan 2015, at Kala Academy Complex, Campal Panaji Goa.

It an annual event happening this time of the year
Organised by Directorate of Art and Culture, Govt. of Goa
along with West Zone Cultural Centre, Udaipur, Kala Academy of Goa (KA), Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) and Corp. of the City of Panjim (CCP)

Dances like Bihu from Assam, Siddhi Dhamal, Mewasi, Kervano Vesh from Gujarat,
Kalbela, Puppeteers, Bhavai from Rajasthan, Singi Chhan, thangta, Pung Dhol, Cholam, Cherrow, Gotipua Sambalpuri dance from Orissa, Panthi from Chattisgarh, Lawni from Maharastra, Bharya Bangra from Punjab, Purulia Chhau from west Bengal, Ghoormar from Haryana and folk dances of Goa like Kunbi, Dekni, Zagor, Gode Modni, Musal Khel, Samai, Goff, Veerbrada, Dhangar, Fugdi, Dhalo, Morulo etc

There also many stalls from abot 500 craftsmen including food stalls
Open 10am till 10 pm, Cultural programes 6.30pm till 10pm
